COVID Regulations as of August 23rd 2021
“REGULATIONS made by the Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 82A of the Public Health Act, Chapter 40 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011, and all other powers thereunto him enabling.”
The amended regulation makes changes to the list of professions considered as “Frontline”, expanding it relative to Statutory Instrument (S.I.) No. 74 of 2021. The New Regulation curtails the sale of alcohol by prohibiting its sale during the hours of 6p.m. and 4a.m. Additionally, there are notable changes in the restrictions governing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, which, regardless of vaccination status of staff, can only operate at 50% capacity of their physical premises.
